第8回 糸マルシェ

「糸マルシェ」は、年4回開催される鎌倉西口ソンベカフェでのマルシェイベント。

今回はからむしを丸ごと使って「ゴッドアイ」と呼ばれるチャームを作ります。

からむしの繊維は茎の皮の内側にあるので、からむし引き後は芯の部分が残ります。

栽培する場合は畑に戻して土に還すのですが、野生のものを採集したとき、手元に残しておきました。

それを丁寧に洗い、煮沸して、今回芯棒として使います。

実は身近にも生えているからむしに触れてみるWSです。

ゴッドアイは、ネイティヴアメリカン由来のお守りだそう。

きらきらと透き通るからむし繊維で作っていたら星に見えてきました。

This workshop offers a chance to interact with karamushi, a plant that actually grows in our surroundings.

The "God's Eye" is said to be a Native American talisman.

As I wove it with the shimmering, translucent karamushi fibers, it began to resemble a star. Here’s a look at my last event.↓
